Field Offices
Field monitoring is a key component of UNDP's Country Programme monitoring and evaluation framework. UNDP Nepal has established three Field Offices, one each in the Far Western Region (Dadeldhura), the Mid-Western Region (Nepalganj) and in the Terai (Biratnagar), to support the implementation of the Programme. Field monitoring teams regularly visit field-based projects to ensure that UNDP's interventions are relevant, effective, efficient and show positive signs of sustainability. Field monitors also confirm that projects are reaching women and the most excluded groups, and bringing about real change in these people's lives. Furthermore, they make sure that projects are implemented in a conflict-sensitive manner, and are not unintentionally doing harm. Findings from field monitoring visits are used to adjust and improve project implementation on the ground, and lessons learned from the field guide the formulation of new projects and programmes, thus strengthening UNDP's development results.Field Office Dadeldhura
