Women in Nepal

There are some studies of the general position of women in Nepal. An Asian Development Bank Country Study Women in Nepal in 19991 is perhaps a bit out of date.

Center for Reproductive Rights' report, Women of the World: Laws and Policies Affecting their Reproductive Lives - South Asia, is available on line, and you will find the *chapter on Nepal here

The UNDP Report Human Development in Nepal 2004 has a chapter which deals specially with women and other disadvantaged groups. You can download the *chapter here.
