Laws about Children in Nepal
Introducing the Laws
In order to have any real effect laws must be passed - and carried out - in Nepal. There are some laws for the protection of children in Nepal. These include the Children Act 1992 which has quite of lot of protections for children taken from the Convention. You can read the relevant sections of the Act here, and the whole Act here. You can also read the whole Convention here.
There is a newer Act - Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 2000. You can read that here on the website of the Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Centre (please note that part of section 5 and the whole of section 6 seem to be missing).
