Texts of Other ConstitutionsThere are a number of sites with full text of constitutions. There are a very large number of largely current texts of constitutions at the ICL (International Constitutional Law) website at the University of Bern Switzerland. Or you can find many at the University of Richmond constitution finder site Some examples of constitutions of other countries that might be of particular interests are: Some Asian constitutions India: (you can click to the Constitution in English and in Hindi - don't be put off by the fact that the latter table of contents is in English; the text is in Hindi) Sri Lanka and a bill for a new constitution (2000) Bangladesh China (People's Republic) (this version has the 2004 amendments integrated into the text) or another version (with the 2004 amendments listed at the end) Pakistan Indonesia Philippines Thailand (the old one valid until the 2006 coup) or Thailand (the new one) and Interim Constitution (after the 2006 coup) Some federal constitutions South Africa - one of the best constitutions Brazil Nigeria Switzerland in English and Nepali (translated by the Swiss for the benefit of Nepali readers) Other interesting constitutions Portugal an interesting constitution Uganda |
