University of Hong Kong: International Human Rights Research Guide to Selected Sources "This Guide is aimed at assisting law students and others based in Hong Kong in researching human rights issues and should also be useful to anyone conducting human rights research from other countries, particularly those with access to law libraries and/or the world-wide web." Economic Social and Cultural Rights Because this is likely to be of special interest to many people, here is a list of useful websites on rights of this type: Economic Social and Cultural Rights Network "ESCR-Net seeks to strengthen economic, social and cultural rights by working with organizations and activists worldwide to facilitate mutual learning and strategy sharing, develop new tools and resources, engage in advocacy, and provide information-sharing and networking." American Association for the Advancement of Science, Thesaurus of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights "This thesaurus is basically a tool that introduces economic, social and cultural rights and related concepts and issues. It is a valuable resource because the rights are taken directly from the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, clearly providing the basis for identifying potential violations of such rights. The Thesaurus is user-friendly and it conveys legal contexts in a way that is not cumbersome and intimidating."
