The MMP system
You can find details about the New Zealand system of elections (know as the Mixed Member Proportional system) on the website of Elections New Zealand (the combined website of the Electoral Enrolment Centre, Chief Electoral Office, and Electoral Commission) especially on the page devoted to MMP.
